Big Goals Require Big Moves and On Tap Credit Union Promoted Four New Directors in Strategic Roles

On Tap Credit Union isn’t your average bank or credit union. Founded in 1954 in Golden, Colorado, we provide financial advice in a friendly environment, making it easier to help our members by crafting financial solutions with their goals in mind. As we continue to grow our membership base, we are focused on our strategic goals which include promoting from within by adding four new director positions and aligning our leadership team for growth.

Big Goals Require Big Moves and On Tap Credit Union

In order for the credit union to continue its growth initiative, we’ve promoted four of our managers to director roles to meet key deliverables: Dawn Sanchez to Director of Strategic Implementations, Alana Kelly to Director of Marketing, Tyler Richards to Director of Consumer Lending, and Jennifer Dooley to Director of Retail Delivery. Each one of these promotions is in line with our company’s growth goals and commitment to continue to craft solutions with our members in mind.

“Promoting from within our organization is an important aspect of our company culture and helps to fast track our strategic goals as we continue to craft solutions for our members,” said On Tap Credit Union President and CEO Tracie Wilcox. “Each person is unique to the role and brings years of value far beyond the time they’ve been with On Tap, and we are excited to continue to build our leadership team.”

Prior to joining On Tap, Sanchez held several roles in the financial space related to operations, regulatory program development, and project management at the VP level. With her nearly 20 years of experience across Peak National Bank, First Western Financial, and the City of Englewood, we were thrilled to bring Dawn and her breadth of skillsets to the On Tap team in August of 2017. In addition to her Project Management role, Dawn serves as the credit union’s IT Security Officer which includes a gold-standard information security program. She also very actively supports the Disaster Recovery and Digital Steering committees.

As for Kelly, she joined On Tap Credit Union in June of 2019, bringing with her over 12 years of experience in developing, implementing, and assessing successful marketing and communication strategies. In her first six months, while she was still learning the Credit Union industry, she enhanced marketing processes, developed a social strategy, improved internal communications, and produced a community engagement and social corporate responsibility plan. She never let the pandemic roadblocks stop her. Instead of canceling Member Appreciation Day, she made it digital – making it one of our largest member appreciation engagements. Kelly has been a major player in strategic projects including launching marketing digital automation, loan lead generation, enhancing mortgage marketing efforts, and is active in the Digital Steering committee. In 2021 she won the Rising Star award from the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council.

Richards joined On Tap Credit Union in 2015 as an underwriter before moving into the retail space as Operations Manager. As the Director of Consumer Lending at On Tap Credit Union, he oversees the credit union’s collections and the consumer lending portfolios. He serves on the Denver Area Chapter Board, the Colorado Young Credit Union Professionals, as well as the Mountain West Young Credit Union professional board. Richards has received the Mountain West Credit Union Foundation’s Outstanding Young Professional designation, as well as being selected in 2021 to serve as Colorado’s representative for the foundation’s Executive Leadership Program. Richards also serves on the credit union’s Asset & Liability, Information Security and Technology, and Project Portfolio committees. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Business from the University of Wyoming.

Dooley joined On Tap Credit Union in October of 2021 as a Contact Center Manager, bringing with her over 18 years of financial industry experience. During that time, she held several roles including Teller, Lead Teller, Personal Banker, Service Manager, Branch Manager, Consumer Lending Specialist, Lending Servicer, Consumer Lending Team Lead, Consumer Lending Supervisor, and now she’s been promoted to the Director of Retail Delivery role. As a nod to her passion for the community in which she lives and serves, she has given back to organizations in Texas where she spent most of her career. She organized volunteer efforts for Austin Pets Alive, Austin’s Pride Parade, Central Texas Food Bank, Light the Night Walk (to benefit Leukemia & Lymphoma), and Race for the Cure.

We raise a glass to each of these individuals for coming together to round out our leadership team and continuing to find ways to elevate our brand while bringing awareness to the credit union.
