Section4, a live learning platform for strategic leaders, today launched a set of accelerated certificate programs designed to build strategic leadership skills more quickly than traditional offerings.
“Strategic ability is the most important skill a professional can have, and yet companies have limited options for teaching it,” said Greg Shove, CEO of Section4. “Our accelerated certificate programs help students build strategic skills quickly, without having to invest in an MBA or depend on inconsistent mentorship at work.”
Each certificate program teaches the most important strategic skills in the modern economy, and can be completed in just a few months. The first five programs focus on core business skills, leadership, digital transformation, marketing strategy, and product strategy.
“To build these certificate programs, we spoke with leaders at top companies about which skills are critical to their success,” said Wendy Nguyen, head of education for Section4. “We focused on the essentials – solving complex business problems, building digital acumen, and data and analytics fluency.”
Section4 was founded in 2019 by NYU Stern professor and serial entrepreneur Scott Galloway. Since its founding, Section4 has worked with 70% of the Fortune 100 to build their teams’ strategic skills, through courses taught by leaders from Netflix, Bain, Meta, Google, and many other top companies.
Each new certificate program includes five courses, which combine one- to two-week sprints and half-day workshops. Courses can be taken live or on demand, and each course concludes with a project that applies the strategy to a real challenge at work. Students walk away with a certificate and a strategic recommendation they can implement at work right away.
“Our mission has always been to create a radically more diverse group of future leaders, which is why these programs are accessible and affordable,” said Shove. “Comparable leadership programs cost $5,000 to $10,000, whereas our programs cost $995 per year through Section4 membership.”
